Felts and nonwovens are widely used in all aspects of filtration. This is a specialty market and Felters provides niche products to many of the major filter manufacturers. The materials we supply will be either a specialty low volume filtration application or a material that compliments the more traditional volume filter media. The company carries a vast range of filtration felts suitable for replacement where the filtration equipment is obsolete and no longer OEM supported.

The permeability properties have also been recognized in composite materials manufacturing applications where felt can be used as permeable medium to evacuate and/or bleed air/gasses during the vacuum forming and reactor process.
